Industrial Visit for TYBMS 2007-08 batch to Mumbai – Ahmedabad – Anand – Vadodara from 19th September to 23rd September 2007.
Industrial visit for TYBMS 2007 -08 batch was organized to Vadodara for five days four nights in association with Sri Krishna Adventures. Three Full Time Faculty Members of BMS Department accompanied 112 students of TYBMS A & B division. We travelled to and fro by Train and we visited the following places and industries as a part of the Industrial Visit.
- IIM – Ahmedabad campus which was highly encouraging and promising a dream vision for all the aspirants.
- Vinnie Textiles was a place of value addition on the textile industry and we also got an opportunity to buy their products. Direct purchase from factory outlet was a different experience.
- AMUL where we reached for lunch and had a delicious lunch served which was also being served on a daily basis to the workers of AMUL. It was really mind-blowing to actually see the production process of varied products of AMUL, various allied functions of management into reality.
- IRMA, Institute of Rural Management was the next destination on 21st Sept, 2007. It was highly informative lecture wherein the scope of the various courses and their overall benefits were explained in depth.
- Lastly we visited at Baroda a supplier of auto spare parts of cars to companies like Cheverolet and Hyundai.
Finally safe, sweet, informative interesting, valuable visit successfully came to an end on 23rd September 2008 morning when we reached Mumbai in the morning by train.
Finally the trip came to an end and we left the resort after having lunch and tea reaching Mumbai on 5th March 2008 at 6.00 p.m.
Industrial Visit for SYBMS 2007-08 batch to Mumbai – Silvassa from 27th February 2008 to 29th February 2008 of SYBMS 2007 – 2008.
Industrial visit for SYBMS 2007 -08 batch was organized to Silvassa for three days - two nights in association with Khoj Travels. Three Full Time Faculty Members of BMS Department accompanied 98 students of SYBMS A & B division. We were placed at Khanvel resort and got the opportunity to visit the following industries.
- Zandu Pharma - wherein they could acquire knowledge of the production process and relate it to Production Management.
- Boating at the Lake side
- Kryfs India Ltd who is a manufacturer of components for various machines.
- Madhuban drums which manufactured steel drums to store oil.
- Meghna Packaging which was a manufacturer of Plastic Drums. It was very stunning to see how the drums come out properly shaped from the machines.
- Nilkamal Plastics Ltd. where students could completely learn the manufacturing process of chairs, crates and other plastic products of Nilkamal Plastics Ltd.
It was really late than scheduled to start from Silvassa. So we returned from Silvassa to Mumbai at around 11.00p.m on 29th February 2008.
Industrial Visit for FYBMS 2007-08 batch to Mumbai – Silvassa from 3rd March 2008 to 5th March 2008 of FYBMS 2007 – 2008.
Industrial visit for FYBMS 2007 -08 batch was organized to Silvassa for three days - two nights in association with Khoj Travels. Two Full Time Faculty Members of BMS Department and Prof Rajkumar Bagadia – Chief Co-ordinator of BMS accompanied 98 students of FYBMS A & B division. We were placed at Khanvel resort and got the opportunity to visit the following industries.
- Nilkamal Plastic Ltd. wherein the students learnt the manufacturing process a chair and the testing of fitness of the chair.
- Donear - a suit material manufacturing company
- Aakash Stones – a marble supplier.
- Essel Propack- a company that manufactures plastic tubes for various products like toothpastes, creams etc. This was the best industry among all the industries that they visited as they showed in a very organized manner how they manufacture tubes for various products and also their quality control techniques were very well explained by their authorities.
- Church which was very famous and a Jain temple which also was close to the Church.
- Meghna Packaging a plastic drum manufacturing company which showed how they manufactured plastic drums.
