A candidate for being eligible for admission to the BMS Degree Course shall have passed XII Std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or Diploma in any Engineering branches with two years or three years or four years duration after the SSC conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or its equivalent examination.

(ii) |
Total number of lectures per theory paper shall be a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 55, each of 50 minutes duration. |

For project the teacher initially engage about 5 lectures for orientation. The students shall visit field for data collection and analyse the same. Before the report is finalized the students shall present their findings to the faculty wherein faculty shall provide guidelines for finalization of the same. |

Scheme of Examination |

The examination shall be conducted at the end of each Semester.

A Theory paper shall carry 100 marks. The evaluation of the performance of the students in theory papers shall be on the basis of both internal assessment (40%) and semester and examination (60%). Internal evaluation shall be on the basis of class assignments, group discussions, seminar attendance etc. The Semester end examination shall be held at the end of each Semester and shall be of 2 hours duration.

The responsibility of evaluation during the first 4 Semesters shall rest with the college / Institution wherein the students are admitted for the course. The college/Institution shall carry out the internal evaluation for theory papers in Semesters V and VI while the University shall conduct the Semester end examination for these two semesters. The Internal evaluation marks of students appearing for Semester V and VI shall be sent to the University by the respective college/institution before the commencement of the respective semester-end examination.

The evaluation of the Project shall be carried out by the examiners appointed by the University inclusive of viva-voce examination. The project reports shall be assessed for 60% of the total marks while viva-voce examination shall carry 40% of the marks.

Standard of Passing |
| (i) |
A candidate shall have to obtain a minimum of 50% marks aggregate of each theory paper and a minimum grade of C in each project wherever applicable to pass a particular semester provided that the candidate must have obtained a minimum of 35% of marks in semester end examination for each theory paper. |
| (ii) |
A candidate shall be placed in First Class with Distinction if he/she secures a minimum of 50% marks in each of the theory paper and with a minimum Grade of C in each project in Semesters V and at least 70% marks in theory papers of Semesters V & VI taken together in aggregate. |
| (iii) |
A candidate shall be placed in First class if he/she secures a minimum of 50% marks in each of the theory paper and with a minimum Grade of C in each project in Semesters V and VI and at least 60% marks in theory papers of Semesters V & VI taken together in aggregate. |
| (iv) |
A candidate shall be placed in Second class if he/she secures a minimum of 50% marks in each of the theory paper and a minimum Grade of C in each project in Semesters V and VI and less than 60% marks in theory papers of semesters V & VI taken together in aggregate. |
| (v) |
A candidate who fails in any particular theory papers shall be allowed to reappear for that theory papers. However, his/her internal evaluation marks shall be carried over. But he/she shall not be entitled to any class on passing. |
| (vi) |
(a) |
A candidate shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester II if he/she passes Semester I OR if he/she fails in not more than two theory papers of Semester I. |

(b) |
A candidate shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester III if he/she passes Semester I and Semester II OR if he/she fails in not more than two theory papers of Semester I and Semester II taken together |

(c) |
A candidate shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester IV if he/she passes in each of Semester I,II and III OR if he/she passes Semester I and fails in not more than two theory papers of Semester II and Semester III taken together. |
| |
(d) |
A candidate shall be allowed to keep terms of Semester V if he/she passes in each of Semester I, II, III and IV OR if he/she passes Semester I and Semester II and fails in not more than two theory papers of Semester III and Semester IV taken together. |

(e) |
A candidate shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester VI if he/she passes in each of Semester I, II, III, IV, and V OR if he/she passes Semester I, Semester II and Semester III and fails in not more than two theory papers of Semester IV and Semester V taken together, irrespective of his/her Grade in Project- I of Semester V. |

A candidate who does not secure a minimum grade of C in project, has to submit a fresh project wherein he/she should secure a minimum grade of C. |
